Doug Cook

Doug Cook has more than 20 years experience in the high tech industry, the last twelve of which have been focused on building outstanding, innovative search technology and world-class teams. He was formerly Director of Search for Twitter, Inc., and Vice President of Web Search Engineering at Inktomi and Yahoo!, where he led the team that built one of the internet's first search engines. Most recently, he is founder and CEO of Able Grape, a groundbreaking vertical search engine for wine information.

Jay B. Pieper

Jay B. Pieper is Vice President for Corporate Development and Treasury Affairs for Partners HealthCare. He is a director of WorldCare, a global telemedicine company; CRICO, the Harvard captive professional liability insurer; and Harvard Clinical Research Institute, which supports clinical trials at several Harvard affiliates. He is a former director of Eclipsys, a healthcare information systems company and of Financial Executives International, a professional association.

Samuel O. Thier, MD

Samuel O. Thier is Professor of Medicine and Health Care Policy, Emeritus at Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital. He has served as the Chief Executive Officer of Partners HealthCare System, Inc.; President of The Massachusetts General Hospital; President of Brandeis University; and President of the Institute of Medicine, National Academy of Sciences. He is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. Dr. Thier is a Trustee Emeritus of Cornell University and has served as Chairman of The Commonwealth Fund and Director of Merck & Co., Inc. and the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston. He is a Director of Charles River Laboratories.

James H. Turner, Jr

James H. Turner, Jr. is Senior Counsel and Director of Energy Programs for the Association of Public and Land-Grant Universities. He was previously chief counsel for the House of Representatives Committee on Science and Technology, as part of a 30-year career with the committee, which has oversight jurisdiction over non-defense federal scientific research and development. He served on both the Obama and Clinton Presidential Transition Teams for the Department of Commerce. He is a Trustee of the engineering school at the University of Virginia (UVA).
